This was the doser model of the grinder, but I wanted to convert it into a single-dosing grinder. In order to get a working doser chute, I had the following options:
- Buy an OEM doser chute and lid (>$200)
- Buy a doserless modification kit made by another Mazzer owner that is admittedly attached nicely with magnets and includes a portafilter fork (approx. $130)
- Convert a pancake batter dispenser and cannibalize the funnel using a scary cutoff wheel and a non-negligible amount of trial and error (approx $25)
I went with the last option. I also did need a gasket between the cone and the grinder body, but the gap actually filled itself in with ground coffee. It holds quite well!
