I was invited to play guitar on a couple music videos for a friend, KRPTK. The folks behind this project had quite a lot of professional experience in video production: We had camera crews and gaffers, and it was my first time having an onsite stylist! The shoot was held in a video space in downtown LA.

We did bring our own music equipment and played our songs over the recorded tracks, and I was able to sneak in some surprise equipment.

Music Videos

Best Part - H.E.R. and Daniel Caesar (KRPTK ft. Trygg and Zeal Cover)

We were a bit late to the Daniel Caesar cover train, but it was fun putting on a little dilla swing.

KRPTK ft. Zeal - Luv Me [LIVE]

This was an original song by KRPTK, and he invited some of us to record a more live version with less electronic elements. This mix was quite aggressively de-essed in my opinion.

Me with my beloved 1995 Strat Plus Deluxe. I bought this guitar using my first paycheck after graduating college.
We needed something that looked studio-like. I told them that I could offer a big VU meter. And that is how vintage Brüel & Kjær made it into a modern music video!
